Back from Spring Break

Hi, I’m back. My daughter, Lisa and I got to spend most of the week with lil (getting bigger) Gauge. It was lots of fun! I’ll blog about the trip, and add pictures later. Right now I’m pooped.

We ended up flying and renting a car. The crazy lady at Hertz tried everything she could to get me to upgrade etc, but, the best thing she did talk me into was GPS… I could kiss who ever came up with that!
I drove all over the place, never got lost or worried if I had taken the wrong exit.

I found out that while I was gone, I missed my oldest daughter’s first proposal of marriage… He’s a young rascal, out to break a few hearts I’m sure. (He’s one of the 4yr old twin brothers of a friend of hers.) It seems that Gabe is quite taken with her and proposed at their last softball game…

All went well. Talk to you soon. BIG HUGS, Steph

PS, Dragonboy has a post where he says he’s craving some 80’s music. He posted, Toto’s "Africa", which reminded me that I liked Toto. So, my music is Toto, "Hold the Line."

Wait, was it a 4-year-old who proposed?  That would be why you said her FIRST one, huh?  Just stand there and roll your eyes… I\’ll catch on sooner or later.

Oh, so I was trying to use my skymiles to book a flight to Loreto Mexico.  The best return flight they could offer me took a total of 27 hours and included an 8-hour layover in BOISE.  Is there really a hub in Boise?  Don\’t worry, I ditched the idea because the thought of spending 27 hours enroute is not even worth FREE!

    Welcome back, Kitty Cat!

Ah thanks for the warning – I\’m renting from Hertz when I travel to cornfield NE in May.  I\’ll make sure to stand my ground about the upgrades!

My son, was four and his cousin, was three were both in my sister-in-laws wedding.  They thought they got married that day and kept that illusion going for over a year.  He even made a birthday card for her on the computer that said, Happy 4th Birthday to My Wife.  I hope he still has that card.  Kids are funny.

Welcome home, Stranger! Gauge is certainly getting big! He looks more healthy all the time. Glad you had fun, hope the trip was worth it. Schultz land looks like the Precious Moments Chapel down here in MO. It\’s so fun, with all sorts of stuff I never dreamed of!

    Hello, my dear.

I could use GPS.  I get lost all the time while driving.  And I have lived in these parts for forever too.  I like to call it "direction challenged, " actually.  And I certainly make the drive interesting.

    A marriage proposal…oh my!!!

Welcome home!  Glad to hear all went well, for you and the other drivers on the road 😉
Are any of the upgrades rocket launchers?  One button oil slicks?  Smoke screens? Ejector seats?  No? Then I can see why you went with the GPS.
    Kisses~R

Steph, thanks for the suggestions and link – I\’ll definitely check it out.  I do like Raven\’s remark about the rocket launchers, oil slicks and smoke screens – oh how I wish I could employ them on my drive to work some days!

    Hi Steph!

GPS is a God-send, isn\’t it? Before it reached wide-spread public knowledge and use I had the chance to learn of it and use it in the military during National Guard days of mine.

Thanks for your lovely comments. That\’s nice of you to say you\’d give my Bro a hug on first meeting him. You\’d love him. I\’d get a hug too, right? Of course you know damn well I\’d be sniffing your neck to take in scents of your perfume and perhaps trying to sneak in a kiss or two .. HaHaHa.
