A full day

Today (the 26th) is my youngest daughter’s birthday. My baby is 13, and although she’s been looking forward to being a ‘teen’, I’d rather not think about it. lol
I’m taking the view of, if I don’t acknowledge it, they won’t keep getting older…
Think it will work?

My oldest daughter is 16, she’s my,"brown eyed girl."  Once a year during homecoming week they have a girl’s powder puff football game. It’s Junior girls against Senior girls.
My daughter has been talking about, and looking forward to this game since she was in 7th grade.
She’s a junior this year, and was the junior team’s quarterback.
There have been instances of the senior team cheating in the past. My daughter let it be known that IF there was cheating this year, she was going to be doing some physical damage. LOL
(She’s very competitive)
I didn’t notice any cheating. It was a fun game to watch. Not only because my daughter was the quarterback, but because I know almost all of the other girls.

What was pretty cute, they had boys in cheerleader outfits… little skirts and all.

Just before the game started one of the senior girl’s mom got on the microphone and called… "Sadie… Sadie… pay attention to me!" "Don’t you get hurt out there!" LOL

The announcers were senior boys, and they kept the audience laughing. One of them kept mentioning the name of one of the senior girls followed with…. My date to the homecoming dance…
Another time, one of the guys says, "John, so and so, says, "Hi" to Amanda, so and so…. because they are friends…. just good friends….
One young man got on the microphone and said the name of the girl he’s taking to the dance, and says, "Thanks for saying Yes."

The game was Seniors, 36, Juniors, 18.
My "brown eyed girl" scored all the touchdowns for the junior team. One was a run for 80 yards, one for 70 yards, and one for 40 yards.
It prompted the young men in the announcer’s booth to announce, that Alaura was  Zack’s girlfriend and she plays football better than him…. and basketball…. and everything else… plus she’s lot prettier than him too. LOL
They were in awe of her throwing arm, besides her speed.
I’m proud of her, but can honestly say she doesn’t get that athletic prowess from me. lol

My youngest is playing volleyball, and has a killer serve. They had an away game today. Their team hasn’t lost a game yet. Again, not from me. lol

It was a fun ending to a long busy day. BIG HUGS, Steph

It is like clairvoyance or something – but I just had the feeling that the kid didn\’t get he athleticism from you.  How did I know that?  A miracle I guess.  Sounds like a fun day, anyway…  Does the kid mind that you spent half the camera time on the boys?

Mitch, I am proud of them, and it was lots of fun! T(Rain), They keep me young, I keep them embarrassed. I think it\’s a good trade off. lolLaoch, Happy, Happy Birthday!!!Nooner, It was fun! I\’m not a huge sports fan, but the girls, the \’cheerleaders\’ and the commentary kept me laughing. Jade, Those hams were lovin every minute of it. LOLYellow, Yep, they have better legs than some women I know… LOLTim, Hmmmm are you volunteering? I\’ve heard you are a nifty lil housekeeper! Hi Steph-a-roni and cheese,
Yep, our children are growing up fast. Too fast. I’m starting to wonder what I’m going to do when they are all gone. My son said to me I should move where he goes to college? Silly kid…
I suppose if he plays football somewhere I could live in a house with a bunch of guys? Nope…Too messy for me.
Wow!!! Look at the crowd at that football game. Wouldn’t it be nice to be young again and start all over? Well, at least in some aspects.
Oh by the way…My name is Greg and I have A.A.A.D.D.
You all be well out there in “Potato Land”
Bye!!! Hmmm…Now where is my cheerleading skirt???

**storms in and stands with arms folded***

Oh well….. isn\’t that just groovy…. you come aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll the way over to my gaff, butter me up with…

    **mocking*** \’oh DB… you\’re great…. I really like you…\’
Before slam-dunking me with … Packers are 4-0…

Well… all I can say is Pah!…. that\’s right… I said PAH!… and if you don\’t like it then you can stick it up ya bum…. AND I said bum aswell… that\’s how cross I am…

That Shupe doesn\’t need any encouragement let me tells ya… she\’s feisty enough as it is… and who did invite you into this arguement???….

    and breeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaatheeeeeeeeeeee………………
Wotcha Steph… WWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAHHH that felt good to get that off my chest… sorry I had to make a scene but sometimes lines are crossed…. sometimes they\’re curly…. I mean you can\’t have a letter \’s\’ with crossed lines…. but that\’s not to say that we don\’t need crossed lines either… I mean where would that leave the poor lower case letter \’t\’…. in fact the letter \’t\’ is a perfect example of how we should all live in peace and harmony… a mixture of crossed and curvy lines… a harmonic recipie that gives us words like \’the\’ and \’thermometer\’ and triceratops….

Without the letter \’t\’ we would have \’he\’ and \’hermomeer\’ and \’riceraops\’… i mean if a riceraops was running towards you, you couldn\’t warn other people of the danger cos it\’s almost impossible to say that word under normal circumstances… imagine trying to say it in a stressful situation….

    \’RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN… IT\’S A RICEROMS…. A RICERA…. A…\’ ***cue icky sound of squashed human***
So let that be a lesson to you ok?

    **cheeky grin**

    DB xxx
P.S. And if you don\’t behave I\’ll send the elephants round….

    G\’Day Steph,
No worries, the minimum requirement of my even is to write a Halloween related comment to the other 50 Spacers during the last week of October. However some Spacers will do more than that🙂. For instance I will be blogging Halloween related entries the whole month of October lmao!. Have a lovely day!!
    Hugs from devil\’s land
