It’s HOT!

It’s supposed to get up to 107 or higher today.

When I was younger that wouldn’t have made any difference to me, but, now it does.

I did my watering and shopping early. I have the air conditioners going full blast, and I’ve threatened anyone who turns on the stove or oven, with, "I’ll slap you so hard your clothes will be out of style when you stop rolling."

I won’t really, but I do love colorful southern sayings. lol

So, on that note… It’s just after 1pm here, and already it’s so hot…. (how hot you ask?)

It’s as hot as two goats in a pepper patch…

It’s as hot as a 2 dollar whore on the 4th of July…

It’s so dry the trees are bribing the dogs…

It’s so hot I’m sweatin like a hooker in church…

It’s HOT!
BIG HUGS, Steph

So you\’re saying it\’s so hot, you\’re sweatin like Dan Quayle at a spelling bee???  107 sounds more like Arizona heat!  Try to stay cool and, I don\’t know…, maybe eat some watermelon??  ICE COLD watermelon!!

Son #4 is going to mow my lawn tonight at about 7 p.m.; it\’ll be cooler by then. And I wanted to get it done before the weekend. Highs are predicted in the high 90s.

Husband, on the other hand, looks the heat straight in the eye: he\’s on a canoe/camping trip this weekend with his daughters.

    Suckas!

In other news, I thoroughly enjoyed your pictures of the Obon Festival, especially the huge drum and the tiny boy. And (of course) the food.

And I think I\’m partial to Charlie the Kitty, although Lucky clearly lived up to his name!

Keep cool; I recommend a sprinkler romp, followed by naked-chair-sitting. It works for me…

    107. Does not compute. We had snow 10 days ago. Its hitting a heady 70 today though. And this I struggle with. I would fry in the heat you have. Hope it cools for you soon.

SNOW!!  I would love to see snow!  I can\’t imagine what you peopleare going through, Steph.  It\’s miserable here, but not 107.  I stayinside as much as possible, until the 2 or 3 weeks we get at the endof the year where it\’s under 70.  Here, people are always saying,"I love the hot weather!"  Including my kids.  Ugh!  I like sweaty Kay\’sidea…
