Blogs

I love reading blogs. It satisfies my curiosity, and my thirst for learning.
I started out reading blogs before I ever planned on starting one of my own. It’s a guilty pleasure, like being given permission to read another’s diary… come on now don’t tell me you haven’t been tempted or would if you could!

Where else can you read about people’s lives, their inner thoughts, joys, sadness, and secrets.
I admit to being nosy, curious and having a strong voyeur tendency, but, I’ve found that I like the people who’s blogs I read. I’ve come to think of them as friends. I care, I worry, I laugh and cry, along with them.

I have dear friends in real life, but my blog friends are just as important to me. (Some I do know in real life!)

I think some of you were put in my path of life to help me learn things. There have been many times I was feeling blue or scared, and one of you would post something that said, "Hey I understand" or made me laugh so hard that all the worries and cares just seemed to fade.

There are posts that remind me how precious life is, how wonderful it is to laugh, and how special it is having a friend, and people in your life that care, and that no matter how bad I think things are in my life, there are amazing people who are going through so much more, terrible, horrible things and are so full of courage and hope that I can’t help but be inspired.

I just wanted to thank you, for the lessons, reminders, prayers, laughter, trust, strengthening my faith in God, attempts at punctuation lessons, lol, and friendship. I love stopping by and being part of your life, or reading your memories.

I had one blog friend tell me I was probably the, "Queen of Comments." I like that! I like coming by and ‘having a chat’ as it were.

I admire you all. I rely on your talents (because my attention span is that of a goldfish) you keep me entertained besides teaching me things and making me laugh.  I love your,  goofiness, bitching, rejoicing, sarcasm, wit, intelligence, humor, and everything else that makes you all the special talented people that you are. LUV YA!

So, why do you blog? What got you started? Do close friends and family read your blog, or do they even know about it? (Tarhead, I think for me it’s been a combination of the person’s name, the comments I may see that they have left at other blogs, and or, some times I just ‘surf’ and if I find I like their posts I go back.)

 BIG HUGS, Steph

Thank you, Stephie.  You are important to me, too.  And I love you.  I don\’t think I know ofanyone I\’ve met on here who is as kind, and tender as you are.  I can\’t imagine any personever being less than pleasant to you.  If they do, let me know!!  I think your children are SOlucky to have you.  I really wish you and I lived close enough to hang out.  There are some otherpeople I\’ve met on here that I\’d love to meet, as well.    But who knows?  Maybe I\’ll win the lottery, and take a trip out West.  I haven\’t seen that part of the country, and I\’ve always wished to. I started checking out blogs because I\’m insanely curious.  I began my own, because I love to write, and I believed it would be therapeutic.  It has been very good for me.    I\’ve always pictured myself later in life, as an old lady, spending most of my time writing.Reading about other people, their joys, their sorrows.. how they love… helps me to get \’out of myself\’.  If I didn\’t have this, I\’m afraid I could get lost in my head… and that can sometimes be a pretty scary place! 😉

Well shucks Maam… twernt nuttin 😉
LOL  I am glad you came across my blog you have turned out to be a good friend in my book.
Not many people read my blog really… dont think they like some of the humor or sarcasam I tend to rant on. Or maybe its the soapbox I sometimes climb upon to spout my thoughts. Most of my "real" life friends arent into the whole computer scene.. just what they have to do at work.. or game.. etc. Well to be honest a few of the guys I wouldnt swear werent checking out the porn sites ( I say with an angelic innocent smile upon my devilish face… :P   ) we all hear so much about.
What got me started huh ?? Well to tell the truth, I think it was just someplace I could rant n rave about things. Get my voice out there and if anyone cared to listen or comment.. more power to them. I am glad whenever someone does.. positive or negetive. Any comments welcome, but I am always glad to see urs😉
I dont read alot of others blogs.  Wasnt why i really got on here.. and besides that.. some of them I go to are so short of ANYTHING. Not 1 picture.. 1 post.. nuttin :-|   But will continue to look around every once in awhile.. see if I can find anything worth while for me.
Sorry.. a mini blog of my own here…lol

    Have a great weekend hun😀

Awh that was so nice. I can\’t remember what made me start blogging I remember I would go around and read other ppl\’s blogs and think \’Why in the world do we all need that much info?" But once i started my own I was hooked like yeah this is the way to vent and not get those strange looks or "hmmmm\’s" beats the heck out of paying for thearpy (not that i\’ve ever been).

For some reason I don\’t like my family or people I know personally reading my blogs I found out my mum reads one when she couldn\’t resist herself by leaving a comment (thankfully she\’s moved and doesn\’t internet access for the time being).

    Have a great weekend!!!

    Hasta Luego

I did the same as you in the beginning – just read other people\’s.  I am not even sure what posessed me to start my own.  It think it felt like a good way to get things off my chest and poke fun at my life without getting into trouble.  Only one very good friend even knows I have a space.  I hope anyway.  I\’m crazy about my blog friends too – thanks for being one of them!

hello steph!  been gone awhile, just dug myself up from underneath my rock…

i think that this week is quietly becoming "thank god for blogs week" on the net…  many of the folks that i visit have the same undercurrent going…

    i blog because i\’m noisy, i think.
i read because i\’m nosey, probably.

the dollar ninety eight question for me – to you…

    is

what causes you to visit a blog?

when you look at the vast spread of "friends" on a space, what makes you move your pointer there and click?

for me, it\’s the name of the individual or the name of the space.

    kitty\’s cattitude?

    c\’mon

    who could resist that?

    smile!

    Meow!!! Peep-a-boo!!!
    Phew on that pan-fire. Yikes!!!
I just had some of those thin mint girl scout cookies a couple of days ago.
Do they taste differently than I remember??? I thought they tasted better when I was a kid???
This blogging thingy really caught me by surprise. You know, you and I go way back so to speak. You are one of my first blogging friends. Actually, your friendship encouraged me to write more you silly kitty.
Have a wonderful, wonderful week, Greg
Geesh!!! That song has me repeating my words
    We all luv you too!!!

Ok I know I\’m kinda late in responding here but…well…I\’m always late.

I started because I was having a really shitty time in my life, and one day I went to write in my journal there were no more blank pages…I happened to get online and on the front page was talk about a "blog" soooo…there ya go !

Oh yeah some of my family reads mine…my in laws too…the thing is my MIL thinks I don\’t know that she\’s there 3-8 times a DAY…but I do ! Once hubs asked her if she had read it and she denied it to the hilt !

Now I feel connected to my blog friends, it\’s so weird to say that about people you don\’t "know" isn\’t it ?
