We were so poor…

I’ve had a heck of a time with this root canal. It’s my first one and I really, REALLY don’t want another one.
I had to go see my Dentist today (again), because it’s still hurting me. When I was done, I took a quick trip out to see my Parents.
My girls were with me, and were horrified to see that it was harvest time. They are harvesting the onions and sugar beets right now, which means that the huge farm trucks filled with onions are lumbering up and down the road my parents live on. They know what that means… (yes I’m a cruel, cruel Mom) LOL
It means with every bump or rock the truck goes over, or every corner they turn, lots of onions fall off the truck, and I (wicked, wicked) Mom that I am, have them go out and pick up some of the best ones for us to take home. LOL
Sugar beets on the side of the road, stay on the side of the road. I learned as a little girl that they may make sugar out of them, but they sure as heck don’t taste like sugar!

What they really hate is if I pull over on the side of the road and have them get out of the car and pick some up. This is the height of child cruelty and embarrassment. HEY, my Dad used to do that to us, and I tell them, think of the fun story you can tell your kids about how their Grandma was so crazy and mean that she used to have you pick up onions off the side of the road!
See, I’m thinking of their future entertainment…. it’s the least I can do!

I’m leaving Nov. 9th for my trip, and I’m really looking forward to it.
A few hints of where I WON’T be going…. you can rule out, Iran, Iraq, and this time of year, Alaska.

BIG HUGS, Steph

Next time you should go "onion picking" when you have a car load of your children and their friends! :o)

If they had to do the long arduous days picking up the missed potatoes behind the migrant pickers that we had to do in cold weather, they\’d feel lucky it is only onions and only for a minute or two.  They should indeed have to do this stuff.
So you\’re ruling out 3 of the most interesting vacation spots right off the bat?

At this point, I\’d go anywhere. Including the dentist.

Can you take a stowaway? And why are you always going on trips?!? Whatever you\’re doing — I need to get me a little o\’ that.

Are any kids going with you?

Hello, I was surfing thru Spaces and noticed your \’custom list\’ that you\’ve posted your blogshares code into… may i offer 2 alternate methods?  I put mine atop my entries… what you want to do when you create an entry is click the toolbars <HTML> button – the screen will go white and you\’ll see two <DIV></DIV> diamonds.  Copy your blogshares code and paste it into the centre of those diamonds <DIV>code</DIV> so it looks like this:
    <DIV><a href="http://blogshares.com/blogs.php?blog=http://kittyscattitude.spaces.live.com/&user=38967"><img src="http://blogshares.com/images/blogshares.jpg&quot; alt="Listed on BlogShares" width="117" height="23"/></a></DIV>
…clicking the <HTML> button again will return your screen back to normal so you can continue on with your entry.
Another method of posting html codes is by installing a \’sandbox\’ (custom html powertool) to your Space, here\’s the tutorial i\’ve written to walk you through the steps – it\’s super easy:  http://unklebobosaurusrevised.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!6F1BDE909B451525!5038.entry
    Great Space you have!
