Ah Small Towns…

I live in an interesting area. Well, the people are "interesting", my word for, I’m not sure if they are scary or amusing, or both!
On the news. One of our local small towns (near my small town), had their "mayor" on. He was telling of their plan to make sure all residents are armed and knowledgeable of said guns.
He was saying it shouldn’t be a problem because he was assuming that everyone in the community already owned guns, Quote, "That’s the kind of people we are". (Anyone else nervous yet?)
Their reasoning, is that they are out of the way of any police force, and so they want to use the citizens as crime deterrents. He said, well, think about it, if you were a criminal and knew that we were all armed, ready and willing to use them against you,… would you come to our little town?
Criminal’s nothing, I’M not gonna want to go to their town!

On second thought, they might be better off being a community without police. One of our neighbors was recently busted for growing pot in their home. Someone anonymously turned them in. Thing is, our local "good ol boys" (aka PO leece), found a bottle of cough syrup in the house, and 1 other ingredient that is used when making meth. They weren’t together, and the family does have children, BUT, they are now being charged with making meth! There was no other evidence, no cooking equipment, no smells, no bio-hazard clean ups, just some children’s cough syrup. Can we say, over kill? Can we say, IDIOT police force and D.A.?
I feel so bad for their boys, really sweet kids.
Gotta love small town life. BIG HUGS, Steph

Regarding the Spaces Live site (The Walk About)
Tuea TV is off the air!My site was shut down by MSN with out warning…I believe it was due to my shining a very bright light, into they\’re darkest corner! I had written a post about MSN lowering the sign up age for Spaces to 13yrs old, down from 18yrs old…I also posted a complaint on the MSN site (The space craft) about the multitude ofAdult, & sexually explicit sites on  MSN Spaces Live.
I followed the MSN protocol for reporting Pornographic sites, and all I ever got in return was a case #…After waiting 3 weeks for the Adult site to be shut down, I took matters into my own hands, and built a list called (MSN Wall of Shame). In this list, I posted all of the Adult themed, and pornographic sites I found on Spacesin my Daily travels. My (MSN Wall of Shame) list had grown to almost 60 sites be for I was shut down!If you missed the post I wrote, and the list (MSN Wall of Shame), here is a link. Click here to see my post, and list. Hi Steph,
I\’m all for tough law.  But that seems like overkill and B.S. to the max.

I hope you\’re having a great fall.  I could use one of your big hugs right about now.

I\’m torn between thinking it\’s a GREAT idea, or a bad one. Mainly, because I wouldn\’t trust myself with a gun…

Maybe I\’ll encourage Husband to use Mandatory Gun Ownership as his platform for HIS mayoral campaign. Probably couldn\’t hurt. ; )

Hmmmmmmm.. Welllll lets see, where to start ?
Guns.  I am a hunter myself but I do NOT own a gun.  I borrow a friends shotgun when I hunt. he has a few of them. My state of Kansas just voted to make it legal to carry a concealed weapon with the proper registraion. I am all for it myself ! And I will apply after the first of the year for my permit. With me being on my bike alot I want the extra protection if I break down out in the middle of nowehere. However, I DO have a rather nice collection of swords n knives ( wink wink )

Cough syrup ??  O M G !!!  WTF. I would have to agree.. OVERKILL on the charges. The war on drugs has been going worse then the war in Iraq for sooooo much longer thats its not funny. MY opinion.. legalize marijuana… some other drugs in SMALL quaintites ( sorta like Mexico just did ) and tax it just like Booze n cigs !!  They didnt learn there lesson with prohibition back in the 20\’s I would say.

Ahhhh  excitement in the library huh ?  How are you going to decorate ur table this year ?  Theme… I am betting its a Christmas theme😛

Speaking of which… only 91 SHOPPING DAYS LEFT TILL CHRISTAMS !!!!!!!!
Just thought ya might like to know that little overlooked fact.
And ya know what ya can get me for X-mas too   ; )  ;) 😛
